badminton training

last sunday, W and i dropped by the leisure center near our place and inquired about their badminton classes. what should have been a short inquiry turned into a three hour badminton work out. when i was still living in singapore, i trained during saturdays for about two months. even then, i loved going to my badminton training even though it required me to wake up early on saturdays. the difference now though is i have W to train with. during our friendly games, i usually pair myself with another person so i end up playing against W. so i felt a bit awkward at first training with him. i hope we can keep this up. i would really rather go to badminton practice rather than to the gym! =D

we lost

...to the archers. just when i thought that we would actually make it, we would secure the number 2 spot, this happens. i shouldn't be surprised anymore. after all, the eagles choking at the last minute has been a running joke among the alumni these past few years. win or lose though, it's still the school i choose! even marrying a lasallite doesn't change that! =P and yes, if we do get to watch an ateneo-la salle game in the future, you won't have to guess where W will be - right beside his atenean wife of course! ;)

two weeks

yipee, my manager just approved my two week vacation this coming december. to be honest, i'm really not that excited about my leave. after having rested for 7 months last year, i guess i got fed up with being a stay at home wife. i found out that i'm not very productive when left alone at home. i wake up quite late and spend the day surfing though the net. i guess i'm better off at work - the pressure keeps my adrenaline pumping and i get to do what i love - solving system problems (geeky, i know!) ;) it would be such a waste if i'll just spend the entire two weeks at home! i hope i can convince W to visit switzerland even just for a couple of days - that is if i can stand their cold winter ;)

i found out about this video from metro a few months back. i've only just seen it though - and boy are they good! =D it's too bad W and i can't dance - at all - we look like walking sticks! =D i wonder, is it too late for us to learn? ;)

aww, that hurts!

yes, this is what happens when you suddenly play badminton for three hours after weeks of inactivity. i have quite a bump on my knee - but i don't care. nothing can erase this silly smile on my face. i just love playing badminton and i wish i could play at least twice a week just like i did when i was still in manila. but it's just not possible so i guess i would have to be content with our weekly games. oh btw, i got to play with this girl from thailand. she's smaller than me but her smash is really impressive. and she doesn't tire easily. she'd make a really great badminton partner. tsk tsk, now my goal is to be as good as her! =D can't wait for our next game!
